Getting Ahead in the Workplace

Jane Tuer, Executive Director of Project READ described the recent project they hosted.  Working with the local Planning Board and Ontario Centre for Workforce Innovation, they delivered a “Getting Ahead in the Workplace” program for Ontario Works and ODSP clients to help them prepare to enter/re-enter the workforce successfully.  This is an excellent example of collaboration of assisting people to bridge out of poverty.

CWQ#8:  thehealthline.ca

Teresa Zohorsky, Regional Partnership Coordinator for Grey and Bruce toured thehealthline.ca website during the latest Coffee with QUILL session.  Use this site to search for community services for the learners you support.  It is a great provincial site, so if they are moving to a different community you can check out the services before they move.  Also, it allows you to save your suggestions to a clipboard that you can email to your learner.

Here’s a link to the site – thehealthline.ca

To learn how to navigate the site, review Teresa’s PPT from the Coffee with QUILL session.
